The reason why is because RE0 through RE: Code Veronica were survival horror based. Meaning Resident Evil Survior that was an epic fail in my opinion but comparing RE0 through RE5 isn't correct.
Let me just start by saying the Resident Evil series is a classic mind blowing zombie killing game! I played them all from resident evil zero to the last RE5 even played the side stories unforunately.
